About The Tour

Katie Hathaway '12 and Glenn Jensen ‘04 are herding the cats for a “tag-along” Scrum Alum tour with both the men's and women's teams. They are gauging interest in testing the feasibility of organizing the trip through Irish Rugby Tours. Full commitment is required by November 1, 2024, to organize through Irish Rugby Tours or to guarantee travel, cars, lodging, and alignment with the student tour.

The Proposed Tour Itinerary

Note: Based on Norwich Rugby program team schedules, and subject to change slightly

• Wednesday, March 5: Depart U.S.

• Thursday, March 6: Arrive in Dublin - Travel to Galway - Explore the Aran Islands & Cliffs of Moher - Meet up with Norwich Women's Rugby Club on their evening off.

• Friday, March 7: Depart Galway after finishing tours of Aran/Cliffs of Moher.

• Saturday, March 8: Afternoon Guinness Tour with Men's & Women's Clubs

• Sunday, March 9: Attend Norwich Men's & Women's Rugby Matches

• Monday, March 10: Depart Dublin

Travel Options:

• Option 1: Self-Guided - Reserve double occupancy rooms and organize into groups of four for car rentals and travel.

• Option 2: Irish Rugby Tours - The company will coordinate our transportation via tour bus and lodging if numbers allow. 

• Flights: Individuals would book and pay for their flights. We ask that you plan to arrive in Ireland before noon on Thursday, March 6. Earlier is better!
